Request regarding the scope of "General Discussion"

Case in point: this thread of discussion.

I think it would be good for "General Discussion" to stay within the scope of "Retro Coding".

It is a bad idea to have it wide open and operating like the wild west.

I'm thinking it would be good for the community forum to stay focused on retro programming, understanding that the meaning of "retro programming" could be fairly broad.

But if a topic has zero "retro programming" attributes, why should it exist here?
