I'm really interested in having this forum succeed.

If you feel it is a bad idea me trying to help out in the role of "Global Moderator", please say so (without getting into personal attacks, if you don't mind, but rather objectively pointing out why that's a bad idea.  Examples/facts are always helpful.  Opinions: those can be just as much wrong as right, so not particularly useful.)

If the success of this forum depends on me not acting in that role, then I should not act in that role.  Whatever it takes to have a safe and healthy community.

If the admin has asked you to take up the role, then there is only one person you should be asking if you should, and that is you. We may have opinions this way or that way, but ultimately, you are the most qualified person to say whether or not you can do it.

Collins Dictionary states: "A forum is a place, situation, or group in which people exchange ideas and discuss issues, especially important public issues."

A forum's success or failure 'can' be the result of the action(s) of one person... but... and I could be wrong... The last time I checked... Forums usually have more than one member...

If you need or want my opinion... accept the role... forums 'need' strong leadership... You 'can' and 'will' do a fine job!
